TED-8 is a plug-in version of the Oberheim TEO-5, developed based on thousands of measurements taken from the original hardware unit. Every knob, curve, and effect has been recorded, mapped, and fine-tuned until the plug-in and the hardware device sound identical.
We have also incorporated several enhancements: MPE support, MTS-ESP micro-tuning, a poly-unison mode (allowing 6 voices per note—for a total of 48 simultaneous voices), a comprehensive modulation matrix, and a connection cable to interface with the physical instrument. Consequently, TED-8 can function independently within your DAW or serve as an editor and library manager for the TEO-5 on your desktop.
